About HCSK for Seniors
Every year, millions of older adults in the U.S. are targeted by online scams — from fake tech support calls to fraudulent investments, romance traps, and identity theft. In 2023 alone (FBI IC3 Report), elder fraud caused over $3.4 billion in reported losses. According to the FTC’s 2024 report to Congress, many more cases go unreported because victims feel ashamed, confused, or afraid to speak up.
Why we built this
This website was created to give seniors a safe, friendly space to learn the basics of online safety. We believe everyone deserves to feel confident and protected online — regardless of age, tech experience, or background.
Each module on this site focuses on one simple topic. We use plain language, real-life examples, and include short quizzes with helpful feedback. There are no ads and no accounts — just clear, honest education built with care.
Our mission
HCSK stands for Human Cyber Security Knowledge. Our mission is to reduce human risk online, especially for those who are most frequently targeted. Seniors are not only among the most common victims of scams — they’re also among the least supported when it comes to respectful, accessible digital education.
How you can help
We are a small, independent project — not a government or commercial platform. But with your help, we can grow this impact:
- Share this website with someone you care about — or even better, follow a module with them
- Let your local community center or library know it’s free and ad-free
- Send us feedback or suggestions to improve it further
Thank you for helping make the internet safer for everyone — especially those who deserve protection the most.
