One morning, Susan got a call: This is the IRS. You owe back taxes.

If you do not pay today, the police will come.

The voice was serious. It sounded real.

But they asked for payment by gift card.

This is a classic scam.

Susan paused and called her son. She avoided losing hundreds of dollars.
